One of my favorites things at home is a freshly cleaned bathroom and specifically a freshly scrubbed shower. But unfortunately after all the scrubbing I usually spent an hour coughing because of the fumes from the scrubbing bubbles. I never thought too much about the coughing, but I started to hear and read about the harsh chemicals that are in our cleaners today and wondered if there were alternatives to hacking up a piece of my lung each time I cleaned the house. I've tried most of the Method products, but do not like the smell of them nor do I feel like they have the same amount of cleaning power that the 'other' products do.
And then a friend told me about the Get Clean products made by Shaklee. "Over 90% of poison exposures happen at home" because of the chemicals in our household cleaning products, like bleach. The Get Clean products are non-toxic, contain no harmful fumes, are hypoallergenic and are formulated without hazardous chemicals. So far all the products that I've used have had amazing results. I got 6 year old coke stains out of our bedroom carpet and our glass storm door has never looked so clean. Because their products are super-concentrated and non-toxic, you "keep 108 pounds of packaging waste out of landfills" and "eliminate 248 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions".
I don't work for Shaklee, am not paid by them, nor did I receive any free products. You have to do your own research, like I did. The Get Clean Starter kit is not cheap, but don't let that deter you. "You'd have to shell out more than $2,000 at the grocery store to get the same amount of clean you get in the Get Clean Healthy Home Pack." There is a money-back guaranteee too. I've become more serious about my total-body health over the last few years for many reasons. And as the boy and I consider having a little person, my health and the health of our home has become even that much more important to me. The Get Clean products are a no-brainer for me.
*happy living* and happy 4th!
