I have been on the hunt for the perfect sofa. On our way out of the mall on Sunday I dragged the boy through Macy's to check out the Corona Collection.
They had the sofa in Pear and the chair in Stone. I am almost sold. It seems like a solid piece and is comfy without being too oversized. (I wish someone would tell the furniture stores to stop making sofas the size of twin beds.) The Macy's website lists the price of the sofa as $899 but they had it in the store on Sunday for $699. I hope it goes on sale again when we are ready to buy. The salesperson told me that it is in stock in the three colors shown on the website, but there are also a half dozen other colors available for an extra charge and if you are willing to wait 3 to 4 months.
I really liked that exact sofa at Macy's, but the boy didn't like the fabric's texture. They look delightfully like something our grandparents would have owned in the 70s, yet also very modern. Oh, and it was on sale when we were looking in August/September, so I bet it will go on sale again soon.

I love the green!!! That's my second favorite color to red. I thought of you on Monday when I was walking downtown on the cobblestones and there were gingko leaves scattered on the ground...so beautiful!! Of course I didn't have my camera otherwise I would have taken a photo for you!
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!! Love from Lancaster xoxo Bethany

Definitely reminds me of a"hip, Hollywood home" as seen in Sue Hostetler's new book!

Sarah, my boy also questioned the texture. I think everyone is so used to microfiber and twill!
Bethany, I feel honored that you were thinking of me. The gingkos here in WC were also beautiful despite the weird weather we have had.
Erica, funny I was just looking at her new book online a day ago. We could all use a bit of hip Hollywood, especially here on the east coast!

I am curious about the green color? Is it more of a sage or more like an apple green/limeish green? Thanks.

Margo, I think the color is called "pear" and that is the word I would use to describe it. It is not sage nor lime. Maybe avocado. Hope that helps!

I don't know if I'd be willing to wait the 3 to 4 months. When I decide I want to buy a new piece of furniture, I usually have a "buy it now" mentality. It has been my furniture buying downfall... :(
